Following his team’s semifinal victory over Mexico, coach Emmanuel Amuneke has revealed what he expects when Nigeria’s U-17 Golden Eaglets face Mali in the final of the tournament.
According to Amuneke, defending the FIFA U17 World Cup against Mali is going to be an interesting challenge
In his post match remark after the game against Mexico, Amuneke said: “It was a difficult match against Mexico in which both teams did their best. We give credit to them (Mexico) because of their performance and its level of play.
“We are happy to be in the final and have the chance to defend the world title. Mali is a good team, Africa’s champion. This is going to be a tough but interesting challenge.”
